Carolin Becker and Simon Harrison are London-based artists who have worked together as BECKERHARRISON since 2007. Since then they have worked on developing their unusual symbiosis of photography and graffiti to extend the realm of photographic realism and to address certain social and political topics ranging from the homeless situation in the UK to education of girls in North Africa or religious conflict in India.

Mixing Carolin’s photography with Simon’s unconventional graffiti work provides them with the opportunity to reinterpret the objects or scenes originally recorded and to add their own observations, reflecting their different perspectives and personalities in two distinct but complementary media.
